I am trying to fit in this tiny house for another month and a half. So I tried to conquer the front closet today. A shoe tower from winners 2 storage boxes from superstore a shoe rack from ikea and a few bins from the loonie store. And today it looks pretty organized. I don't know if I have a lot of faith that it will stay this way. The shoe tower really is saving my butt. A genius of a contraption!

I put a bounce sheet in Chase's window, now whenever I open it the wind blows in and his whole room smells like clean laundry instead of the poopy diaper I just changed. I love it! Maybe I 'll put one in our bathroom window too. I just love the smell of bounce.

I was playing around with these star squares trying to figure out if I wanted to paper piece or sew free hand or what and then I decided that I didn't want to do them at all so I have a few random stars that match Chase's bedding, so I put these two in a frame. I sewed them onto a cloth background and that's it. I still have 3 more that I might use on an apron or maybe little throw pillows. Not sure yet.

Chase has a little ikea lamp but I didn't like the shade so I decided to cover it. I used some fabric and just put a little mod podge across the center to hold it in place and then I stitched it by hand across the top and along the bottom. I think I may do one for the girls as well. Is mod podge fire retardant??

Audrey got so many wonderful games for her birthday but we were loosing pieces everywhere. So I decided to make little bags to keep them in. Each bag has a little zipper pouch inside to keep the parts in (dice or player pieces or puzzle pieces). They are easy to open and easy to put away. And they are made from the same fabric as their quilts:) In the new house I am going to put little hooks on the wall and hang them up.

I had these shadow boxes from ikea and never really knew what to do with them. So for now I sewed some cloth to a piece of cardstock and put it in the back with a picture of the girls in front. I wrote the meanings of their names on the pictures. That'll do for now but I may change it again in a few weeks when I think of something better. Maybe this summer we'll catch some pretty butterflies?

I had some scraps left from the girls' quilts so when I saw these letters at the loonie store I had to mod podge them. When we move into our house I am going to hang them above their beds. Kind of burt and ernie ish. But so cute. They turned out great!

I forgot the before picture.

Chase has a toybox that has been bugging me because I don't like the lid. It's an aweful green color so I decided to do something about it. I added a hinge so it stays open instead of slamming shut on him and I modpodged the lid. I used fabric that matched his bedding, and then I ripped a part an old 3 little pigs book to cover the edges on the inside. I think it's an improvement.

Of course I had to make Chase one too. This pattern I just made up out of my head by sewing strips together and then cutting them into squares, then I cut them in half twice and sewed them all back together. Tada.

So my girls are sharing a room so i wanted them to have matching quilts for their beds. I finished them a week or so ago. I also made throw pillows and pillow cases. They love them! This weekend I am going to make them little throw blankets to match. Hmm PJ's would be cute too...

So today I found the most amazing thing. They are little storage containers that I picked up from super store and they are revolutionizing my craft drawer. Actually they are giving me back my drawers. I love them. I use them for my make up too. I wonder if I should go get more for other miscelaneous things. Candy stash maybe? Or my girls barbie clothes? You can never have too much of a good thing right?
