Chase's room also got some new curtains and a giant airplane from grandpa Conrad.

So I found this a the thrift store for $7. I thought it would be perfect for Chase's room! I sanded it down, added a foot kick at the bottom and replaced the hardware. And ...tada!

I finally hung curtains in our bedroom. I think that's worth a blog!

I made a little curtain rod for Audrey's bed so she could have her own personal space. I used some fabric from her quilt and a little ribbon. Now she can play by herself even though she is sharing a room.

I also painted Chases bed. No more crib for this big boy.

I finished Chase's book shelf. I sanded it rough, painted it out and put a little fabric from his quilt in the back. He loves it!

Well I have finished a few more painting projects and old furniture is revived again! This dresser and bureau are as old as me. I forgot to take before pictures again.

I found this desk for $10! Here it is after 4 coats of paint and some new handles. Now if only I had a new house to put it in :(

I got this recipe from Martha Stewart. It has a ganache icing and is so yummy!

So I was looking around the thrift store for treasures and found this for a dollar. I'm not sure what it is but I painted it to match Chase's room and we are going to hang it on his wall somewhere. I also found a little car to put on the bottom shelf. I guess it used to be an aftershave bottle. It reaks like old man. And it looks like it could use a good cleaning. I think I'll put a few little books on the top since it has that bar going through the middle.

I have picked the color for Chases room. He's paddle wheel grey and shadow play blue. With white walls of course, lets not get crazy. So I painted the little red rocking chair to match his room. He loves it! I forgot to take a before picture but trust me this is much better.

I just can't stop eating this salad so I thought I'd share it with you.

Broccoli Grape Salad

6 cups broccoli florets

6 green onions

1 cup diced celery

1 cup green grapes

1 cup red grapes

dressing 1 cup mayo and 1/3 cup sugar 1T cider vinegar

That's the recipe but I also added raisins, craisins, sunflower seeds and pine nuts. And some shredded cheddar cheese, and if I'm indulgent crumbled bacon.

I found one of those cute little stools at the thrift store and had my way with it. Sam picked the fabric from my scraps, I was of course going to use the cow hide again. His worked too. Red is our accent color in the new house, so if we ever move into it this stool will match.

I got this chair from a friend a while ago and decided that it would look better if I covered it in cow hide. Yup I like it better :)

I may take the flappy wings off the side so it's more rectangular. Maybe that's this weeks job..

We made spring suckers. It was pretty easy and only minorly messy. Overall a success. Hooray!

I found an office chair for the new house! It was at the salvation army for $2!!!! It's perfect. I just love a good find.

I FINISHED!!! I finished all 6 and they are great. I can wash them every meal and they keep clean. Hooray! When Chase is 4 I will buy myself some nice ones. But as long as we average 3-4 spills a meal I will keep these.

Firstly I haven't posted in a while because the chairs are taking over my life. I hate them right now! And secondly I found this beautiful light fixture to hang in the girls' new room. I love Home Sense.

ok back to the chairs. Or maybe I'll just go buy new ones at Home Sense :)
